This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 23 Claude T. McCoy Crawfordsville, Iowa Claude T. McCoy of Crawfordsville, R. R. No. 1, was born at Crawfordsville, Iowa, on December 29, 1896. He is the son of Jesse H. McCoy and Bessie Long. He is married and his wife's maiden name was Cora Reubsam. He is a graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Army Record Private McCoy entered the service August 15, 1918, at Ames, Iowa, where he was assigned to the Mechanics 3rd Training Detachment. He was later transferred to Motor Transport Company 404, and stationed at Marfa, Texas, where he assisted in transporting supplies to the Border. He was discharged from service January 29, 1919, at Marfa, Texas.
