This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 39 Raymond Monson Noble, Iowa Raymond Monson of Noble, was born at Noble, Iowa, on September 1, 1899. He is the son of C. A. Monson and Grace A. Conger. He is a graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Navy Record Musician Monson entered the service in May, 1918, at Des Moines. He received his training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station and then was assigned to the U. S. S. Pastores on which he made seven trips across the Atlantic. He was discharged September 23, 1919.
