This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 29 Fred N. Randle Washington, Iowa Fred N. Randle of Washington, was born at Washington, Iowa, on November 10, 1898. He is the son of Jesse B. Randle and Mary E. Crawford. Army Record Corporal Randle entered the service June 2, 1917, at Washington, as a Member of Co. K, First Iowa Infantry. He was transferred to Co. K, 168th Infantry, 42nd Division, Camp Mills, L. I.. He landed overseas December 7, 1917, and took part in battles in the Luneville Sector, Champagne, Chateau-Thierry, St. Mihiel and Argonne-Meuse. He was discharged May 17, 1919, from Camp Dodge.
