This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 9 Harry A. Sheets Keota, Iowa Harry A. Sheets of Keota, was born at Keota, Iowa, on December 28, 1894. He was the son of Henry G. Sheets and Caroline Goodman. Army Record Private Sheets entered the service March 12, 1918, at Fort Riley, in the Medical Officers Training Corps. He was transferred to Camp Dix and, while the company awaited orders to sail, he was assigned to special duty in a military hospital in New York. He embarked to a hospital in France giving first aid to the injured of the St. Mihiel drive. He contracted the influenza, which developed into pneumonia, resulting in his death at Froidos, France, on October 19, 1918.
