This biography was copied from "Washington County in the World War", page 34 George McDonald Wylie Washington, Iowa George McDonald Wylie of Washington, was born at Danbury, Iowa, on July 23, 1894. He is the son of Samuel Patterson Wylie and Elizabeth H. Hay. He is a graduate of Washington High School. Army Record Corporal Wylie entered the service June 30, 1917, was sent to Camp Cody, N. M., for training in the Ordnance department, being transferred from there to Zone Supply Officer at El Paso, Texas, at which latter place he received his discharge on January 30, 1919.
