Wellman Advance,  Sep 7, 1894
  Mrs. Sarah White Adams, wife of Jos. Adams, was born in Scioto county, Ohio, 
April 18, 1835, and died at her late home in Wellman, Iowa, Monday, Sept. 3, 
1894, aged 59 years. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in 
Wellman, Tuesday, Sept. 4, conducted by Rev. Thos. Osborn. Immediately 
following the services the remains were laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery. 
The deceased lived a consistent and devout christian life, having been 
converted and united with the Baptist church when only 14 years of age. Later 
on she cast her lot with the Fairview Christian church, remaining a member 
until the time of her death. In 1854 she was united in marriage with Jos. 
Adams, who with two sons and five daughters, still live to mourn the loss of a 
true and faithful wife and loving mother.
