The Evening Journal Sep 19, 1936
  Mrs. W. D. Hesseltine, 79 years old, died at eleven o'clock this morning at 
the home of her son, Harry Hesseltine, at the southwest edge of town. Her 
health had been failing since 1928 and she had been seriously ill since last 
March, being bedfast since July. 

Burial at Elm Grove cemetery.

She was born in Washington County August 9, 1857, a daughter of Philip and 
Louisa (Logan) Shrader, and lived all of her life in this county.  She was 
married March 26, 1890 to William Dighten Hesseltine, and their home was on a 
farm in Marion Township, four and one-half miles south of town.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Swift of northeast of 
town; one son, Harry Hesseltine, and seven grandchildren.
