Joseph Romine, 85, of Keota died late Tuesday night at the Washington county 
hospital. Mr. Romine, son of Levi and Elizabeth (Taylor) Romine, was born near 
Canton, Ill., January 1, 1850. He leaves two sons, Ellis of Rose Hill and 
Walter of Keota; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Stewart of Carthage, Mo.; two 
brothers, N.E. and Edgar of Keota, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Beaty of 
Washington. His wife, formerly Clara Brawner, died in 1926.
