For some time he had not enjoyed the best of health, but last Thursday became ill with appendicitis and was operated on at the local hospital Saturday morning. The operation was successful, but pneumonia and heart trouble developed and caused his death. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery. Frederick Paul Shrader was born Tuesday 29 Jan 1889, in Washington County, a son of John N. and Emma Wiederecht Shrader. His father died sixteen years ago. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. J.M. Wilson of a mile south of town, and by six sisters, Mrs. Maud Thatcher of Wellman, Mrs. Luella Thompson of Kalona, Miss Abbie, Miss Flossie Shrader and Rosella Wilson of Washington, and a sister who lives at Wayland. He was a member of the Baptist Church, having joined that congregation four years ago. He was a constant attendent at religious services and was always ready to testify as to his own personal religious experiences and convictions.
