He had not been well all summer, and was taken worse a week ago, declining very rapidly. He never did enjoy the best of health. When a young man, he was sickly, but as he grew to the age of manhood, he partially regained his health. The cause of death was a cancerous tumor of the stomach. Mr. Shrader was a son of Philip Shrader and was 38 years of age. He was born in this city. His mother died four years ago this October. He worked in the Washington Press office at the printer's trade, but it was found it did not agree with him. He quit the printer's trade and has worked for twelve years with his brother in the carpenter trade. About fifteeen years ago he married Miss Maggie Wiedrecht, who with six children, a son and five daughters, survive him. He leaves two brothers, James and Harry of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. David Rawhouser of Columbus City, Mrs. Frank Murphy of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. W. D. Hesseltine of south of the city. The funeral will be held from the residence on South Iowa avenue, to which he lately moved from East Washington, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock p. m. Rev H. R. Stark will conduct ther services.
