He was born February 6, 1861, in Washington, a son of Philip and Louisa Logan Shrder, and lived all of his life here. He was educated here, attending public schools and the [Washington] Academy. When about 14 he united with the Presbyterian Church, where he continued his membership throughout the years. His first marriage was to Jessie Belle French, who passed away June 8, 1924. On June 25, 1927 he was married in Davenport to Mrs. Laura Charles of Los Angeles, who now survives him. A sister, Mrs. Ida Hesseltine, and brother, James Shrader both of Washington, also survive Mr. Shrader.
