Wellman Advance,   Nov 14, 1929
Mary Alice Turnipseed, oldest daughter of John and Isabel Turnipseed, was born 
in Washington county, Iowa July 31, 1857, and died at her home in Wellman, 
Iowa, Wednesday evening, Noveber 6, 1929.  On December 24, 1882 she was united 
in marriage to Oliver T. Taylor, who survives her. To this union was born ten 
children, four of whom have preceded her in death. Two of these died in 
childhood, and two reached maturity; Mrs. Blanche Wallace who passed away 
about 20 years ago, and Mrs. Ura Livezey, who died 5 years ago. Surviving 
children are Mrs. Jennie King of Grant's Pass, Ore.; Harry, Lee and Mrs. 
Delpha Karr, of Wellman; Ray and Mrs. Ernest Gingerich of Iowa City. Survived 
by brothers Anderson Turnipseed of Wellman and J. A. Turnipseed of Fairfield, 
Iowa and sisters Mrs. Scott Griffith of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Mrs. E. E. 
Hess of Pettus, Texas, and Mrs. J. E. Wellman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Interment 
in Wellman cemetery.
