Veteran Mail Carrier is Laid to Rest With I.O.O.F. Services.
Lewis Wahl, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Wahl, was born on the Wahl farm home, 
three miles east of Wellman December 19, 1861, and died at his home in 
Wellman, December 11, 1932, aged 70 years, 11 months and 22 days. On May 11, 
1892, he was married to Miss Bertha B. Bernard, who preceded him in death, 
April 10, 1905. Two sons survive, Glenn of Kalona and Nedd of Wellman. He is 
also survived by three sisters: Martha Gray of Wellman, Viola Lyons of Sebeka, 
Minn.; and Mary Leach, of Long Beach, Calif. One brother, Reuben Wahl died 
several years ago. Interment in the Wellman cemetery.
