Forest City Summit, August, 1960
Funeral services for Gunder K. Felland, retired Winnebago county road 
maintenance employee, were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City.  
Mr. Felland, 79, died August 16 at his home in Forest City of a heart attack.  
Pastor Owen Gangstead officiated at the rites.  Vocal music was furnished by 
Russell Bakken.  Mrs. Joseph Peterson served as organist.  Pallbearers were 
Herman Ver Hoef, Peter Bartleson, Ernest Nelson, Park Elliot, Carl Moen and 
Luther Ingebretson.  Burial was at the Beaver Creek Cemetery near Joice.  
Naraum Funeral Home was in charge.
   Mr. Felland was born Sept. 29, 1880 in Worth County.  He was the son of the 
late Margit and Knut Felland.  He moved to Lake Mills in 1926 and to Forest 
City in 1931.
   He is survived by his wife, Margaret, three sons, Wallace Felland at Forest 
City,  Marvin at Iowa Falls, Roy Felland of Northwood, and a daughter Mrs. 
Ralph (Adeline) Johnson of Omaha.  Besides his nine grandchildren, his is 
survived by a brother and two sisters, Andrew Felland of Joice and Marie 
Felland of Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Louis (Elsie) Sanderson of Northwood.
