Mason City Globe Gazette, July 10, 1942
Forest City -- Funeral services for Olaf J . Rusley, who died Sunday in 
Madison Wis., were held Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran church here.  The 
Rev John M. Mason was in charge of the services in the absence of Rev. Joseph 
Simonson, a son-in-law, spoke briefly on behalf of the family.  Burial was in 
Oakland cemetery here.

Mr. Rusley was born April 9, 1872, near Lake Mills in Winnebago county.  In 
1902, he was married to Anna Julia Ellestad at Madison, Wis.  After their 
marriage they lived in Iowa and Colorado, but had resided in Forest City since 
1915.

Survivors are Mrs. Rusley; four children, Mrs. Sylvia Simonson of St. Paul, 
Kenneth of Garner, Mrs. Opal Fisher of Mason City and Mrs. Evelyn Underwood of 
West Union; tow sisters, Mrs. Julia London and Betsey Rusley, both of Forest 
City, Tollef of Pasadena, Cal., and Tom of Lake Mills, and five grandchildren.
