	Ella Louise Ballantyne, 46, Des Moines, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 
18, 1989, in Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA
	She was born April 10, 1942, in Sioux City to Kleon “Bus” and Arla 
(Norby) Ballantyne.  
	Survivors include her father and stepmother, Kleon “Bus” and Esther 
Ballantyne of Council Bluffs, one sister, Doris Service of Omaha, one step-
brother, Larry and wife, Becky, Hoppner; two nieces, Susan Smith and Shari 
Jackson, four great nieces and one great nephew.
