OBITUARY OF GLENN J.
BRENDEN				   (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Glenn J. Brenden, who only recently had celebrated his 80th birthday, 
was born in the Albaton area, near Sloan, on July 19, 1902, to Jacob and Guri 
Engebretson Brenden, who had immigrated from Norway during the 1880’s.  He was 
the last-born and last-surviving of nine children (Ina, Sena, Hanna, Emma, 
Edward, Albert, Lawrence, Clarence, Glenn).
	He married Goldie Florence Anderson on June 28, 1924, in Sioux City, 
Iowa; She passed away on December 5, 1981.  He passed away on Monday, August 
16, 1982.
	He is survived by his four children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-
grandchildren.
