	Mabel R. Chute, 97, Onawa, Iowa passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2003 
at at Whiting, Iowa
	Mabel was born June 4, 1905 near Sioux City, Iowa,  the daughter of 
Frank and Kay (White) Taft.  
	She married Frank Chute May 27, 1926 at her parents’ home.   Mr. Chute 
passed away February 12, 1976.  	
	Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy and her husband Everett 
Sorenson of Onawa, Ruth and her husband Don Murphy of Fairbanks, AK, Rosemary 
Chute of Virginia Beach, VA and Margaret “Meg” and her husband Jim Polly of 
Whiting; five grandchildren, six great grandchilren, and two great step 
grandchildren.
	In addition to her husband, she preceded in death by her parents; two 
brothers, George and Clarence Taft and a grandson, Daniel Sorenson.
