We think of thee in blissful rest And strive to feel God's will is best; Now thou can'st know and understand-- "He leadeth me, I hold his hand." The seal of death is on thy brow; Love's tenderest whisper cannot wake thee now, But blessed thought to us be given, The hope of meeting thee in heaven. Oh, glorious hope, may we all gain That blessed rest, where, free from pain, No earthly sorrow e'er can come Safe sheltered in our father's home. William, thou has but gone before; Soon may we meet to part no more. And our worn spirits freed from clay Join thee in one eternal day.
