Chris Tanberg

	Former Soldier and Sioux City resident, Chris Tanberg, 95, of Sparks, 
NE, died Thursday, February 2, 1989, in Reno, NV.
	
	Christ Tanberg was born September 18, 1893 in Soldier, Iowa to Mr. and 
Mrs. Holden Tanberg.  The family included three girls, Mattie (Johnson), Annie 
(Olson) and Hanah (Olson) and two boys, Chris and his brother, Oscar.    He 
married Selma Berg on January 7, 1920.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Vernon and Clayton, and three grandsons, 
Robert Tanberg, and Vernon and Jack Chase.
	
	Survivors include his widow, one son, of Fallon, Nev., five 
daughters,  fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and four 
great great grandchildren.
