OBITUARY: Ida Bakken, Worth County, Iowa Mrs. Ida Bakken (83) died September 4, 1962 at her home. The funeral was held at Silver Lake, with Rev. B.E. Nyjordet officiating. Ida Johnson Tenold was born July 26, 1879 to Johannes J. and Emilie Anderson Tenold in Worth Co. She was baptized at the North Shell Rock Lutheran Church by Rev. H.J. Strand. She was confirmed at Silver Lake by Rev. N.E. Boe. She was married in March of 1898 to Ole A. Bakken by the Rev. O.T. Lee in Northwood. They lived in Freeborn Co., MN six years, then moved to their present home in Silver Lake. They were parents of six children. All survived except the oldest son, Almer, who died in 1906. Her husband Ole died in 1917 while haying. She is survived by her children: Elvina, Alice, Joseph and Oscar at home and Mrs. Irving (Olga) Flatness of Northwood; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Nels Nelson, Northwood.
