OBITUARY: Loetta (Cain) Baldwin, Worth County, Iowa [ Northwood Anchor -- July 24, 2001 -- www.northwoodanchor.com ] Loetta (Cain) Baldwin [1921-2001] Services held for Loetta Baldwin, 80, on July 19 Loetta Baldwin, 80, of Mason City, formerly of Grafton, died July 16, 2001 at home. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, Iowa with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiation. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, was in charge of arrangements. Loetta was born Jan. 20, 1921 in Park Falls, WI, to Walter and Alvina (Zueshe) Cain. She attended school at Park Falls and Butternut, WI. On Oct. 21, 1936, Loetta married Kenneth Baldwin in Park Falls, WI. Four children were born to this union. They moved to Mason City, IA in 1948, where Loetta worked at F.W. Woolworth's as a baker, cook and lunch manager for 15 years. In 1960 they moved to Grafton. In 1978, Loetta moved back to Mason City. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, and a Gold Star Mother. Loetta was preceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth, in 1977, one son in 1968, five brothers, three sisters and her parents. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Albertus and Darlene Pope of Mason City, and Geraldine Welch of Lathrop, MO; one sister, Irene Britenfeld of Ashland, WI; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. ************************************************************** Copyright (c) 2001 by Kermit Kittleson.
