OBITUARY: Katherine Dahle Kaasa, Worth County, Iowa


                Katherine Dahle Kaasa  c1865-1921

Katherine Dahle Kaasa was born at Spring Grove, WI to A.S. and Siri M. Dahle.
The family came to Winnebago County in 1867.  Katherine was confirmed by Rev.
T.A. Torgerson in 1877 at Silver Lake Lutheran Church.

She was married to Ole I. Kaasa on November 7, 1879.  She was the mother of
ten children:  Ingebrigt, Northwood; Abel, Carl and Thomas, Hanlontown;
Gilbert, Kennedy, MN; Mrs. Christ Johnson and Leila and Oscar at home.
Two had died earlier.  Katherine died at her home, 9 miles  east of Lake
Mills on August 12, 1921 of pneumonia.  She is also survived by four brothers,
four sisters and 19 grandchildren.  The funeral was held at Bristol Church,
with burial at Sion Church.
