Eileen attended and received her education in the Elma School system, graduating from Elma High School. She also attended Luther College where she received her teaching degree in math and physical education. Eileen began her teaching career, which spanned 39 years. Eileen was a fountain of information and was blessed with a very keen memory. She was relied upon to answer many a question. Eileen loved children and her church, and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Northwood and was faithful in her attendance until her health made that impossible. Left to cherish her memory is her three cousins, Marlene Dillon of Cresco, IA, Lois Dinger of Riceville, IA, and Mayzee Wright of Mantz, see Page 10 Osage. Eileen is also survived by her very special and long time friend, Alice Whitcome of Northwood. Eileen became a close friend of the Whitcome family, and godmother of Julie Whitcome, Rees and Molly Dillon. Her parents preceded her in death.
