OBITUARY: Donald H. Moretz, Worth County, Iowa [Northwood Anchor -- July 24, 2001 -- www.northwoodanchor.com ] Donald H. Moretz [1943-2001] Monday services held for Donald Moretz, 57 Donald H. Moretz, 57, Northwood, IA, died Thursday, July 29, 2001, at his home in rural Northwood. Funeral services were Monday at First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with Rev. Paul Holmer officiating. Burial was at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements. Donald H. Moretz was born Dec. 30, 1943 in Northwood to Guy and Myrtle (Brunsvold) Moretz. He was baptized and confirmed at the Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, Glenville, MN. He graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1961. He farmed near Northwood until 1992. He drove a school bus for the Northwood-Kensett school system. In recent years he has worked for the Worth County Road Maintenance. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Northwood and served on the Worth County Fair Board. His greatest enjoyment and love was his family especially his grandchildren. Donald married Jo Tenold in January of 1966. Survivors include his wife Jo of Northwood; children Kim Julson of Northwood, Jeff Moretz of Northwood and Brian Moretz and his wife Melaine of Waukee; grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Hannah and Olivia; brothers and sisters, Lillian Eskildsen of Loyal, WI, Russell Moretz and his wife Irene of Kensett, Marge Low and her husband Rick of Northwood, Art Moretz and his wife Sharon of Northwood, Wayne Moretz and his wife Cindy of Bozeman, MT, Allan Moretz of Kensett, Anna Clayton and her husband Dan of Austin, MN and Richard Moretz and his wife Sandy of Medford, WI; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bob and Marge Hengesteg and mother-in-law Arlene Tenold He was preceded in death by his mother and father; step-mother Ina Moretz; son-in-law Steve Julson and father-in-law Marvin Tenold. ************************************************************** Copyright (c) 2001 by Kermit Kittleson.
