OBITUARY: Orville J. Nesset, Worth County, Iowa [Northwood Anchor Newspaper online - www.northwoodanchor.com - Dec. 04, 2001] Funeral services held for Orville J. Nesset, 78 Funeral service for Orville J. Nesset, 78, Glenville, MN, were Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Glenville. The Rev. Mark Wendland officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Orville died on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at the Albert Lea Medical Center, Albert Lea, MN. Orville was born in Glenville on March 24, 1923, the son of John and Olga (Sandvold) Nesset. He attended elementary school in Gordonsville, MN and Northwood High School in Northwood. On Aug. 31, 1953 he married Irene Diesman in Sioux Falls, SD. Orville farmed for 37 years in the Glenville area, worked for Winnebago Industries in Forest City for 17 years, Bricelyn Canning Plant for two years and H & H Pallet for 11 years. Orville was a boxing enthusiast and as a young man was a member of the Minnesota Golden Gloves Boxing organization. He was also a horse lover and enjoyed going to Waverly to attend horse sales. Survivors include his wife Irene of Glenville, MN; four daughters, Ann Brown and her husband Tim of Backhus, MN, Nancy Poore and her husband Donald of Albert Lea, MN, Sally Soesbe and her husband Willis of Clarion, IA, Charlotte Hennigar and her husband Scott of Clarion, IA; four sons, John Nesset, Sky Nesset, Robert Nesset and his fiance, Dawn Nelson, Barney Nesset, all of Glenville; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Kral of Faribault, MN, Betty Perkins and Kathryn Olson of Albert Lea; one brother, Lincoln Nesset of Albert Lea, MN. several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olga Nesset; one sister, Lorraine Tverberg; one daughter-in-law, Julie Nesset; one nephew, Larry Kral; one uncle, Morris Sandvold.
