OBITUARY: Rev. B.E. Nyjordet, Worth County, Iowa Rev. B.E. Nyjordet (43) was born July 6, 1919 to Carl and Oline Nyjordet, Portland, ND. He graduated from Mayville H.S.and Mayville College, ND, attended the Univ. of Denver in Colorado and the Univ. of ND, Grand Forks. He served a parish at Greenbush, MN before coming to Silver Lake Church in 1957. He served the Bristol congregation the past two years, also. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Kalmer, killed in WW II and Phillip, killed in a tragic accident as a child. Immediate survivors are his mother; a brother, Lawrence, Burney, CA and four sisters, Mrs. Marie Swanson, Marshall; Sara Nyjordet, Brainer; Ester Nyjordet, Minneapolis and Mrs. Ronald (Ruth) Nelson, missionary in Cameroun, Africa. (lengthy article about his death in Graphic 5-29-1963). Funeral was held at Silver Lake Church, with Rev. H.W. Siefkes, Mason City, the president of the Iowa District of the American Lutheran Church.
