OBITUARY: Alice Pederson, Worth County, Iowa [ Mason City Globe Gazette Online Obituaries ] Sunday, May 16, 1999 ALICE PEDERSON NORTHWOOD - Alice Pederson, 87, died Friday (May 14, 1999) at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Allan Stoa and the Rev. Ron Feuerhak officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. The family of Alice Pederson has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Lutheran Church or to the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood, in her memory. Conner Colonial Chapel, 99 11th St. S., Northwood, is in charge of the arrangements. Alice Pederson was born on March 10, 1912, in rural Northwood, the daughter of Oscar and Emma Pederson. She was baptized in the London Deer Creek Lutheran Church, rural Glenville, Minn., and reaffirmed the faith of her baptism through confirmation at the Northwood Lutheran Church. She attended and received her education in the Northwood school system. Alice loved gardening, animals, reading and attending auctions. She had been a resident of the Lutheran Retirement Home since 1993. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the church circle in Northwood. Left to cherish her memory are several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, John Pederson. Conner Colonial Chapel, (515) 324-1543.
