OBITUARY: Belle (Bergo) Peterson, Worth County, Iowa


          Belle (Bergo) Peterson [1879-1966]

MRS. P.I (BELLE) PETERSON (86) died April 13, 1966 at her home in Lake
Mills.  Her funeral was held at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. I.B.
Sorensen officiating.

She was born July 20, 1879 in Worth Co., east of Lake Mills, to Ole and
Ragnild Bergo.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.

She married Peder Pederson on March 5, 1899 by the Rev. N.E. Boe at the
Bristol Church, where they were members until they moved to Lake Mills
in 1941.  They had lived on a farm in Tenold in Worth Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband on October 13, 1950, a son Earnie
on August 25, 1949.  She is survived by her children:  Mrs. Julius (Ruby)
Hauge, Glenville, MN; Mrs. Pearl Hauge and A. Milton Peterson, Lake Mills;
Mrs. Arthur (Myrtle) Nelson, Kensett; Burt Peterson, Owatonna, MN; Perdean
and Grace Peterson, Lake Mills; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren
and a large number of nieces and nephews.
