OBITUARY: L.E. Sanvik, Worth County, Iowa L.E. Sanvik L.E. Sanvik (98) died at his home December 1, 1941 of a stroke. The funeral was held at Silver Lake, conducted by Rev. C.T. Fjelstul. He had been in excellent health for his age and had been sick only a couple times in the past years. His wife died December 21, 1927. He is survived by four daughters and a son, Mrs. Ole Everson, Mrs. John Ausen, Mrs. Julia Dahl, Mrs. Gertie Simmons, all of Lake Mills and George Sanvik, Northwood. Mrs. Dahl and Mrs. Simmons have made their home with him the past several years, helping to care for him. Ludvig E. Sanvik was born in Sogn, Norway on May 17, 1843. He attended the schools of Norway and had some military training. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He married Ingeborg Talle on June 24, 1868. They came to America with their six children in 1882. Three children were born in America. They lived two years near Albert Lea. In 1884 they moved to a farm that he tenanted in Silver Lake Twp. Later he bought a farm in Silver Lake which he owned at the time of his death. He was interested in civic and church affairs and citizenship duties. He moved to Lake Mills in 1921 where he lived until his death. Four children preceded him in death, Elling, Louise, Hans and Louise Marie. He is survived by the above named children, 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
