OBITUARY: Emma Sorbo, Worth County, Iowa


                           Emma Sorbo

Emma Sorbo (91) of rural Lake Mills died March 17, 1981 at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Malmin Anderson where she has lived since the death
of her husband, Nels Sorbo.  She married Nels N. Sorbo on June 27, 1908
at the Silver Lake Church.  Her husband died July 1, 1956.

Emma was born April 15, 1889 in Worth Co. to Tom and Anna Ferley.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Gilman, Northwood; Mrs.
Malmin (Anna) Anderson, Lake Mills; Ellard, Estherville and Mrs. Earle
(Dorothy Ann) Towne, Emmons, MN; 7 grandchildren; a brother, John, at the
Northwood Retirement Home and a sister, Mrs. Gena Mostrom, Northwood. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
