OBITUARY: Betsy Marie Sorenson, Worth County, Iowa


                       Betsy Marie Sorenson

Betsy Marie (Brua) Sorenson (72) died of a heart attack on May 3l, 1959
at Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea, MN.  She had been in ill health the last
several years.

She was born September 19, 1886 to Torkel and Caroline Brua.  She married
Jens J. Sorenson  on March 2, 1910 in Freeborn Co.  They lived on the
farm until 1936 when they moved to Albert Lea.  Since the death of her
husband on November 28, 1959, Mrs. Sorenson had made her home with her
children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman and two sisters.

She is survived by a son, Truman, Albert Lea; daughter, Mrs. Jewell (Myrna)
Johnson, Kensett and a foster daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Bertha) Suby, Emmons;
eight grandchildren; four brothers. Lewis, Minneapolis; Ole, Erskine; Toy
and Leonard, Albert Lea; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (May) Reyerson, Northwood
and Mrs. Henry (Luella) Rogness, Joice.

The funeral was held at Silver Lake, with Rev. B.F. Nyjordet officiating.
