OBITUARY: Truman J. Sorenson, Worth County, Iowa Truman J. Sorenson Truman J. Sorenson (66) of Albert Lea, died June 21, 1978 at his home. The funeral was held at First Lutheran, Albert Lea, with Rev. Richard L. Hanson officiating and burial in Silver Lake Cemetery. He was born August 13, 1911 on a farm three miles east of Emmons to Jens J. and Betsy Sorenson. He married Thelma Medland. They lived in Emmons, Lake Mills and Albert Lea. He was a butcher with the port trim dept. at Wilson Foods until retiring in 1973. He belonged to the Amalgamated Meatcutters Union, Local #6. He was also a Sons of Norway member. He is survived by his wife, Albert Lea; a son, Terry, Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Jewell (Myrna) Johnson, Edina and Mrs. Vernon (Bertha) Suby, Worthington; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
