OBITUARY: Leonard Steffenson, Worth County, Iowa Leonard Steffenson 1902-1927 Leonard Steffenson (25) son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Steffenson of Anoka, MN died (1927) His remains were brought to Lake Mills for burial in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery. He was the nephew of Mrs. Sever Gunderson. Leonard Oliver Steffenson ws born April 30, 1902 and was baptized in the United Lutheran Church by Rev. N.C. Brun. He lived in Lake Mills until he was ten years of age, at which time, his parents moved to Leraun, MN and three years later to Anoka, MN where he graduated from high school in 1920. He was confirmed by the Rev.O. Guldseth. He joined Zion Lutheran Church at Anoka, attended St. Olaf College and State Teachers College at St. Cloud. He was a teacher near Foley, MN the next year. He went back to St. Olaf College to get his degree in 1925. He was a high school teacher and principal at Marion, ND. He leaves his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
