OBITUARY: Nels B. Sveen, Worth County, Iowa



                      Nels B. Sveen 1862-1929

Nels B. Sveen (67) was born to Borre Sveen and Maris Nilsdatter Sveen at
Ness, Norway on January 22, 1862.  When he was twenty years of age, he
came to America to Dane County, Wisconsin for six years, and in 1888
came to a farm in Newton Township.  He married Emma Olson on October 12,
1897 in Chicago.  He made his home in Newton Township until the death of
his wife on November 10, 1919.  Since that, he made his home with his
son Oliver.  He is survived by one son, Oliver, Lake Mills; two
brothers, Anton, Cambridge, WI and Bert, Forest City and one sister,
Mina Longseth, Limore, Colorado and one grandchild.  He was preceded in
death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.  He died December 31,
1929.  The funeral was held at the Synod Church in Lake Mills with Rev.
H. Ingebritson in charge and burial in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
