OBITUARY: Leiv Troe, Worth County, Iowa Leiv Troe [1830-1917] Mrs. N.N. Troe (Liv) died at her Silver Lake home on February 10, 1917 of old age. Since her husband's death, she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Henderson. She was a pioneer woman who had lived here since 1863. Leiv Boardman was born in Ladal Sogn, Norway on February 15, 1830. She came to the United States in 1856 and settled near Decorah, Iowa. She and her husband lived in South Dakota one year before returning to Iowa in 1863 to Silver Lake Twp., where she lived the rest of her life. She had nine children, with five living: three sons, N.T. Nelson and B.N. Troe, Silver Lake and John Troe, Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Ingri Oyer and Mrs. A. Anderson, both of Silver Lake. Her husband died five years ago. The funeral was held at Silver Lake Church, with the Rev. O.C.
