OBITUARY: Gilbert Grosland 1893-1957, Worth County, Iowa

                            Gilbert Grosland 

Gilbert Grosland died December 13, 1957 at his home after having been 
ill several years.  He had worked for American Gas Co. in Albert Lea for
ten years, and farmed 22 years in the Silver Lake community.  He was born 
January 3, 1893 in Worth Co. to Ole and Bertha Grosland.   He lived in 
Worth Co. until 1925 when he moved to Albert Lea to live until 1935 and 
then returned to live in Silver Lake until his death.  He married Gyda 
Hagen at Albert Lea on April 12, 1922.  He is survived by his wife; two 
daughters, Mrs. Agnes Lundgren, Duarte, CA and Mrs. Oriska Pedro, St. 
Paul, a son, Raymond, Covina,CA and six grandchildren; three brothers, 
Albert, Hayward; Ben, Albert Lea and Clarence, Kensett.  A sister, 
Bertha Rollenhagen, lives at Wells, MN.
