OBITUARY: Lena Heltne, 1887-??, Worth County, Iowa Lena Heltne Mrs. Gilbert (Lena) Heltne died Sunday at her home northeast of Lake Mills. She died at her home in Silver Lake, following a brief illness. A week before her death, a baby was born and lived but a short time. She developed pneumonia following childbirth. The funeral was held at Silver Lake, with the Rev. Fosness in charge. She was born April 20, 1887 in Freeborn Co., youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tosten Evenson. She was baptized at Silver Lake by the Rev. L. Tosdal and confirmed by the Rev. N.E. Boe. She married Gilbert Heltne on March 14, 1909. She is survived by four children, Palmer Clifford, 11 years; Alva Victoria, 9 years; Gladys Lucille, 6 years and Thelora Valborg, 3 years. Little Ardell, one day old, preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Edward, Glenville, MN; sisters, Mrs. A.J. Hayne, Minneapolis and Mrs. Emil Bremer, Glenville. The funeral was held at Silver Lake, with the Rev. Fosness officiating.
