OBITUARY: Nels Henderson, 1896-1981, Worth County, Iowa



                             Nels Henderson

Nels Henderson (84) died December 29, 1980.  His funeral was held at Silver
Lake with the Rev. Carroll Lang officiating.

He was born September 1, 1896 to Helen and Andrew Henderson in Worth Co.
He was baptized and confirmed in Silver Lake Church, attended public
school in Worth Co. and Hamilton Business College, Mason City.  He was
a farmer until 1965; he has since lived in Lake Mills.  He married Hilma
Prosager on October 8, 1918 in Mason City.

She preceded him in death in October of 1977.

He is survived by one daughter, Carmen Kaasa, Minneapolis; two sons,
Ardell, Lake Mills and Paul, Clear Lake; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-
grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Art Horvei, Albert Lea; MyrtleNelson,
Twin Lakes; Alice Tozer, Detroit, MI; Bertha, Chicago and Evelyn Minear,
Minneapolis and a brother, Thomas, Lake Mills.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Arthur, Carl and Glenn.
