OBITUARY: Alvin H. Kobernusz, Worth County, Iowa [Source: Mitchell County Press-News or Mason City Globe Gazette] ALVIN KOBERNUSZ MANLY - Alvin H. Kobernusz, 75, died Wednesday after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Manly Cemetery with Bride Funeral Home in charge. Born April 5, 1891, at Guttenberg, Iowa, he was the son of William and Minnie Kobernusz. He was married to Charlotte Stickfort Feb. 21, 1912 at Garnavillo. They farmed southwest of Manly until retiring in 1946. Surviving are his wife, four sons, Melvin, Clear Lake; Loyal, Osage, Elton, Plymouth; Earl, Manly; three daughters, Iola Miller, Manly; Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Clausen, Mason City; Arvilla, Fairmont, Minn; 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. George Markem, Manly.
