OBITUARY: Rose E. Leegaard 1894-1989, Worth County, Iowa


                           Rose E. Leegaard

Rose E. Leegaard died July 10, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center.  The
funeral was held at Silver Lake with Rev. Allan Stoa officiating  She
was born in Worth Co. on April 6, 1894 to Christopher and Lizzie Sime
Reyerson.

She married John Leegaard on November 10, 1924.  She was a life-time
resident of Silver Lake Twp. until moving to Freeborn Co. eight years
ago.

She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Ingvald Leegaard, Hoffmann,
MN and Eleanor Whiteford, Mason City; one sister, Ida Orpen, Clear Lake;
3 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two step-sons, Kenneth and
Ingvald Leegaard and six brothers.
