OBITUARY: Francis E. (Bud) Ruppert, Worth County, Iowa

Francis E. (Bud) Ruppert, 76, Northwood, IA, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002,
at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Memorial services were Saturday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home,
Northwood, with Rev.  Robert W. Luebbert officiating.  Inurnment was at the
Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.  

Francis was born on May 25, 1926 in Taylorville, IL to Merle E. and Melba
(Nagle) Ruppert.  Francis served in the United States Army from 1944 to
1947.  He married Bonita Rapp on Jan. 15, 1949 at the Little Brown Church.
He retired from the city of Garner in 1988 after many years of employment.
They moved to Northwood in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonita in 2000, and his step
father, Chester Diehl

Survivors include seven children, Merle Ruppert of Northwood, Troy Ruppert
of Sommerville, SC, Kenneth Ruppert of Fayettville, NC, Pamela Neimeyer of
East Helena, MT, Carolyn Johnson of Kanawha, IA, Connie Pavelka of Britt,
IA, and Joan Johnson of Becker, MN; 18 grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements.
