OBITUARY: Walter H. Stehn, Mitchell County, Iowa

                          NORTHWOOD RITES SET FOR

                                 W. H. STEHN

NORTHWOOD - Walter H. Stehn, 60, life-long resident of rural Northwood,
died Thursday afternoon at a Mason City Hospital.  He had been ill several
months.

He was born Aug. 24, 1904 in Worth County.  His parents were William and
Christianne Stehn.  He never married.

Mr. Stehn was a member of the Methodist Church here.  He was preceded
in death by his parents and a brother, Peter.

Surviving are two brothers, Leslie of Des Moines and Fred of Northwood;
two sisters, Mrs. Ronald Seater of Pengilly Minn.; and Mrs. Homer Kruse
of Northwood.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church,
Northwood, with the Rev. Merle Benson officiating. Burial will be in
Sunset Rest Cemetery here.

The Conner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
