OBITUARY: John Eric Tenold, Worth County, Iowa John Eric Tenold [Northwood Anchor online - www.northwoodanchor.com - March 26, 2002] John Eric Tenold, 55, of Northwood, IA died Monday, March 25, 2002 at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 South, Northwood with Rev. Allan Stoa officiating. Burial will take place at the Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood, Iowa. Family will greet friends after 12 noon Friday at the funeral home. John Eric Tenold was born on May 28, 1946 in Albert Lea, MN to Glenn O. and Mable (Huso) Tenold. He was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood. He attended public school through the third grade and then was home schooled by Marcele Pitts for five years. John enjoyed riding his three wheel bicycle around the block at his home with his mother. John entered the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood 12 years ago. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn O. Tenold and his sister Nancy. Survivors include his mother, Mable Tenold of Northwood; three sisters, Suzanne Olson and her husband Jerry of Northwood, Sally Anderson and her husband Bill of Minneapolis, and Kim Hagen and her husband Gene of Northwood; nieces and nephews, Joel Anderson, Randine Anderson, Kym Thorson, Kory Olson, Kari Redman, Kristy Lilly, Kyle Hagen, and Kristofer Hagen; also surviving are 11 great nieces and nephews. Those considering memorials may wish to consider the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements.
