OBITUARY: Dawn Ellen (Buehrer) Steenhard, 1957-2003, Worth Co., Iowa [ Northwood Anchor online - posted Sep. 10, 2003 ] Dawn Ellen (Buehrer) Steenhard Dawn Ellen (Buehrer) Steenhard, 46, of Mason City, died on Sept. 7, 2003 at Rochester, Minnesota, after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with Rev. Paul Holmer officiating. Burial will be in the Meservey Cemetery, Meservey, Iowa. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood. Dawn was born on April 20, 1957 in Mason City, Iowa to Eldon and Ellen (Wolff) Buehrer. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Northwood. She graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1975. Dawn attended Waldorf College in Forest City and Buena Vista College in Mason City. Dawn married Warren Steenhard on April 20, 1996 at First Lutheran Church, Northwood. She was previously employed at Rockwell Int., Alexander Manufacturing and Minnesota Rubber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Ellen Buehrer. Dawn is survived by her husband Warren of Mason City; sister Sharon Haugebak and her husband Rick of Tucson, Arizona; brothers Randy Buehrer and his wife Laure of Northwood and Mark Buehrer and his wife Lori of Northwood; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Phyllis Steenhard of Meservey, Iowa.
