                      Mrs. Alfred (Bertha) Halvorson

Mrs. Alfred (Bertha) Halvorson (79 ??) died October 30, 1974 at her home
in Northwood.  Her funeral was held at First Shell Rock Lutheran Church,
with the Rev.Alf Merseth in charge and burial in Somber Synod Cemetery. 
She was a native of Silver Lake, daughter of Lewis and Josephine Ferley,
having been born October 6, 1885.  She married Alfred Halvorson on May
26, 1918.  He died in 1954.  Her son Lester died in 1967.

She is survived by a son, Alton, Ames; a sister, Julie Ferley, Northwood;
brother, Arthur, Woodburn, Oregon; five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
