OBITUARY: Edna M. (Floy) Juveland, 1927-2003, Worth Co. Iowa [ Source: Northwood Anchor online - Sep. 28, 2003 ] Edna M. Juveland Edna M. Juveland, 76 of Lake Mills, IA, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003 at Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Funeral services was Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Rev. Kevin Mackey officiating. Burial was at Salem Memorial Cemetery in Lake Mills. Edna May Floy Stehn Juveland was born on Aug. 18, 1927 to Viola Johnson Floy and Fred Floy on a farm north of Thornton, Iowa. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith on June 24, 1928 and confirmed in 1941 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Thornton, Iowa. She attended a country school at Union #7 in Cerro Gordo County through the eighth grade and went to high school in Swaledale, Iowa, and graduated in 1944. She then attended Hamilton School of Commerce in Mason City and followed in a business career until marriage to Delmar Stehn on Oct. 20, 1945. Four children were born to this union, James Roger, Ronald Curtis, Daniel Delmar and Kathryn Faye. On Sept. 1, 1972, she married Donovan Juveland at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa. They had no children from this marriage, but had quite a family of stepsons and daughters and step-grandchildren. Edna began working for Ag-Chem Equip Co. in Northwood, IA in 1968 as a consignment center and became manager of the Northwood branch until retirement in 1989. In 1990 she started in the parts department at the Lake Mills Farmers Co-op Elevator, now Top of Iowa Coop. Hobbies were collecting cookbooks, cooking and baking and watching the Food Network on TV. She is survived by her husband Donovan Juveland of Lake Mills, Iowa; her four children, James and his wife Eldora Stehn of Northwood, Iowa; Ronald Stehn of Waukee, Iowa; Dan and his wife Donna Stehn of Cresco, Iowa; Kathryn Stehn and her fiance Bruce Elbers of Waupun, Wisconsin; son-in-law, Terry Holtan of Lake Mills, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; brother, Donald and his wife Irene Floy of Decorah, Iowa; sisters, Gloria and husband Harold Martin of Rockford, Iowa; Carol and husband Harold Pueggel of Ventura, Iowa; and Deloris Thimesh of Osakis, Minnesota.
