OBITUARY: Ingri Halvorson Hagen, 1863-1961, Worth County, Iowa



                              Ingri Hagen 

Ingri Hagen (97) resident of Lake Mills 16 years died January 1, 1961 at 
her home on New Year's Day.  She was born June 12, 1863 in Winneshiek 
Co., near Decorah to Halvor and Mary Halvorson.  The family moved to 
Worth Co. in a covered wagon when she was nine years of age.  She was 
baptized by the Rev. Koren in Winneshiek Co. and confirmed by the Rev. 
T.A. Torgerson.

She married Kittle Hagen on October 8, 1888.  The lived on a farm in
Silver Lake Twp.  He died in 1935.

She is survived by a son, Edwin, Riceville; four daughters, Mrs. Nels
(Karine) Stalheim, Glenville, MN; Marie Hagen and Mrs. John (Elma)
Levorson, Lake Mills and Kerma Hanson,Duluth.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lewis & Helmer and a daughter,
Cora.

She is survived by 27 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.  The
funeral was held at the synod church, with burial in Somber Cemetery.
