OBITUARY: Irene Adelene (Hagen) Gullickson, 1913-2003, Worth County, Iowa

                       Irene Adelene Gullickson

Irene Adelene Gullickson, 89, Northwood, died on Feb. 7, 2003 at Muse
Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services were Monday at the First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with
Rev. Allan Stoa officiating. Burial was at Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood, was in charge of arrangements.

Irene was born on Oct. 13, 1913 in Grove Township, Worth County, IA, to
Andrew and Ida (Nieman) Hagen. She was baptized and confirmed by Rev.
Herman Diers at the German Lutheran Church in Northwood. She attended
country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Northwood High in
1931. Irene married Lester Gullickson on Dec. 17, 1933. They were married
for 68 years and lived on the farm north of Northwood the entire time.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Lester; parents, Andrew and Ida
Hagen and a daughter, Delores Nelson.

Irene is survived by one son, Kenneth Gullickson of St. Peters, MO; three
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Brunsvold of
Albert Lea, MN.
