OBITUARY: Lauritz Hagen, 1893-1985, Worth County, Iowa




                                Lauritz Hagen

Lauritz Hagen (92) died November 2, 1985 at the Lake Mills Care Center.
The funeral was held at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. DuWayne 
Dalen officiating and burial in the Sion Cemetery.

He was born November 2, 1893 to Ellef and Julia (Lien) Hagen in
Worth Co.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
He farmed near LeRoy, MN seven years and later farmed in the Lake Mills
area until he retired.  He was in the army in WW I.  He married Henrietta
Bergan on September 5, 1920. She died December 13, 1954.

He married Nora Johnson on March 28, 1956.  She died March 4, 1980.
Lauritz entered the Lake Mills Care Center in December of 1982.

He is survived by three sons, Richard. Albert Lea; Herbert, Northwood
and Lawrence, Thornton; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Ulveness, Lake Mills
and Mrs. Selmer (Selma) Brustad, Northwood; one brother, Carl, Lake
Mills; three step-sons, Lowell Johnson, Oregon, WI; Jerome Johnson,
St. James, MN and Myron Johnson, Lake Mills; 8 grandchildren and
7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, wives, two brothers, Albert
and Martin and two sisters, Ella and Karina.  His sister Selma
died November 3rd.   (Graphic 11-6-1985.
